On New Year's Eve we took the train from Stockholm back to Gothenburg - Liam, me and Rafi, who just like last year came with us to spend a few extra days hanging out before heading back to the UK. It was a dreary, dark afternoon.

Both boys started feeling some cold symptoms the night before and woke up properly ill, so our New Year's Eve plans had to be cancelled. Instead I walked to the supermarket and got us some grocieries. No one wanted to do anything more complicated for dinner than frozen pizzas.

And then we hung out for a few hours. Rafi gave up at about ten while Liam and I stayed up until midnight to watch the fireworks from the balcony.
On New Year's Day I didn't take a single photo simply because we didn't do anything. Liam and Rafi were both still feeling crappy and slept most of the day. Miraculously I didn't catch whatever they had, but I didn't mind spending a few calm days doing nothing.

But the day after we made it out for a walk!

I love this series of photos.

And this.

And this.

We even made it into town for a very late lunch.

With dessert hot choc at Berzelii, obviously. And then home to do some more resting.

The day after that we went to Universeum. I hadn't been in many years! The aquarium is so lovely.

And the jungle!

They have birds!

I enjoyed it.

The rest of the place doesn't interest me as much, but Liam found a thing that ... does a thing. :)

And then we went for some more hot chocolate, because Rafi wanted to go back so he could try their 98% (which I hate TBH, but he loved it). And you know I'll never say no to an extra fika. Especially not with company this lovely.

Life tip: Always cut your cake diagonally when sharing.

Rafi even bought chocolates to bring home to his girlfriend (or to himself? :)).

Two of my favourite humans. <3
