You know what's really fun? Team building! At least when it's with this gang - the local balboa teachers. In my dance society, there's a small amount of money set aside each year for the different teacher groups to organise teacher development and/ or team building. Thanks to Yuhui and Elias who made this happen, me and the rest of the balboa teachers went out for pétanque and dinner after the spring planning meeting. And it was SO FUN.
Various personal styles of throwing balls were displayed:

Despite all the varying personal styles, Fabian and Elias managed to be each other's lookalikes!
I haven't played in a bunch of years but I enjoyed it a lot, and did pretty well for someone with a complete lack of bollkontroll. :)
Careful measuring happened!
Pia and Johan brought Nils, who seemed quite content in Elias' arms. :)
There was a small individual competition in the middle (we had a guide who explained everything) and Johan won it easliy while holding his baby. Ridiculous.
I had two very good teammates in Johan and Fabian, and we won most of our games (!), but in the end, Pia and Elias brought home the big win. :)
The medal says "no blood, no sweat, no tears" - well that is a slogan I can get behind! :)
But I felt that Nils won the most, because he got this cute t-shirt.
Then dinner!
And a very tasty non-alcoholic cocktail.
The hard thing about taking photos when people are toasting - too many glasses everywhere :)
This was such a lovely night and this really is a gang of brilliant people. I'm so glad to get to learn from and be inspired by them, teach with them, care for our balboa scene with them, and hang out with them.
